Major:Customer Relations ManagementApparel company

Please tell us why you wanted to work for a company and what kind of work you want to do at that company.

At the origin, the company which hired me is a fashion brand for which I always had a great admiration. In other words, it’s my passion that motivated me to apply for that company.
Despite being a Japanese company, we rarely work overtime, there is no dress code at all, and many employees are foreigners. It is an absolutely charming company with a friendly work environment, particularly easy to work in as a foreigner.
Unfortunately, I am not a designer. That’s why as a member of the promotion team, I would like to support the outstanding items designed by my coworkers and promote the brand around the world .

Have you ever taken a business Japanese class and found it useful?

The business Japanese lessons were by far the most useful aspect of the classes in my case. Until I entered the school, I studied Japanese by myself for a very long time, but no matter how hard I studied the theory, I was unable to master the honorific language (KEIGO) unless I actually practice it. It was something impossible alone but thanks to my classmates, I was eventually able to naturally use KEIGO. Also, I communicate a lot with my coworkers by emails, learning the rules and manners of business Japanese emails was truly essential in that matter.

Message to those with a dream of "I want to work in Japan"

Until recently, I was always saying that I had to prioritize a job that I can do instead of a job I want to do. But eventually, I realized that passion is also crucial during job hunting. With passion, you may be able to do things you thought you couldn’t do. That’s why you shouldn’t be afraid to aim for the top and at least try your luck. Linguage Japanese Language School staff will support you on many levels, so as long as you do your best, I am convinced that you can go further than you can imagine. In a word: Advance!
