What was the atmosphere of the school and your class like? Please tell us if there are any memorable interactions you had with your classmates or teachers.

The school feels very organized, but it doesn't lose its personal warmth either. I was impressed with detailed lesson plans spanning the whole term. My class was great, and I think the enthusiasm of my classmates played a big role in how I approached my own studies. I especially loved how many people chose to speak mostly Japanese even in personal interactions - sometimes I'd walk to the station with another Russian student, while chatting in Japanese the whole way.

How do you plan to use what you learned at our school in the future?

The school emphasizes spoken language, presentations, and manners. I don't think I would have learned many of the business manners that might be considered common knowledge for Japanese people. My spoken Japanese has definitely improved at Linguage, and I think it will be much easier for me to reach a fluent level of business Japanese needed for work.

Message to those with a dream of “I want to work in Japan”

Think carefully about your goals. Studying in Japan is a precious and limited opportunity. I think the best way to use it is to know in advance where you're going and how studying in Japan is going to help you reach your goal.
Also, learn as much Japanese as possible beforehand. I'm really glad I did it.
