What made you decide to study abroad in Japan?

As an automobile engineer, I’ve always admired the precision and innovation of Japanese technology in my field, which sparked my curiosity even further. I started learning Japanese during my college. After graduation, I decided to come to Japan to study a business Japanese course. My goal is to not only improve my language skills but also gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and business practices, which will help me build meaningful connections and excel in my career. Here at Linguage Japanese Language School, I found exactly what I was looking for. The school provides a supportive environment and a curriculum that aligns perfectly with my goals.

Having experienced job hunting in Japan, do you have any advice for those who are about to start their own job hunting?

Job hunting in Japan is a unique experience, and my advice would be to prepare well in advance. Also, having a good clarity about what you want to do and starting early is key to the process. First, it’s important to understand the Japanese way of presenting yourself, both in your resume and during interviews. Take time to practice writing a Japanese-style resume (履歴書) and tailoring it to each company you apply to.
Also, be confident but humble during interviews. Showing that you’re eager to learn and adapt to Japanese work culture goes a long way. If possible, try to learn and use polite business Japanese (敬語), as it leaves a strong impression. Lastly, don’t hesitate to ask for help from your teachers, friends, or career advisors—they can provide valuable insights and feedback. Job hunting can be challenging, but with persistence and preparation, opportunities will come your way.

Message to those with a dream of “I want to work in Japan”

Studying in Japan is an amazing opportunity that goes beyond just learning the language—it’s a chance to immerse yourself in a rich culture, meet people from all over the world, and experience a completely unique way of life. My advice is to come with an open mind and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
At first, things like the language, customs, or even daily life may seem overwhelming, but take it one step at a time, and you’ll find yourself growing in ways you never imagined. Make the most of your time here by exploring the country, engaging with locals, and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.
If you have a clear goal and are ready to work hard, studying in Japan can truly be a life-changing experience.
